What
better place to put everything else than on the et cetera page? We had
too much information to put on our other pages, and we decided to have
this page for what we like to consider as "customer education". This is
just another part of our drive to give you the best customer satisfaction
possible. We strive to educate our customers about glass and mirrors in
order to save them money both now and in the future.
Please see the Ask
the Expert page for questions that real customers have
asked us that we feel those answers need to be shared as others might be
wondering the same thing. If you have any questions for us, you will find
the links to ask us any glass or mirror related questions.

Edges
These
are the different edges that are available on most products.

Seamed: A
seamed edge (not shown) has been sanded and it may be rough,
but it will not be sharp. It is not recommended if the edges
will be exposed.
Polished: There
are two types of polish - flat and pencil. A flat polish is
generally used on thicker glass and tempered glass. A pencil
polish is often available on glass up to 3/8" thick and
some stock sizes. A polished edge is smooth and shiny. It is
suitable for most applications where the edge will be visible.

Pencil
Polish 3/8" and 1/4"
Bevel: Beveling
creates a decorative angle starting near the edge of the glass.
For example, a 1" bevel, will start 1" from the edge
of the glass. The actual edge will usually have a pencil polish.

Bevel
1"
Other
Edges: There are other edges available such as ogee,
triple pencil polish (waterfall), wave, or chipped.
